Results are Posted

Special thanks to everyone who participated and volunteered.

The results are up, but there was some confusion with the 1 Mile Fun Run numbers (1000-1400).  I apologize if your number is not listed here.  There was also a timing glitch with the 1 mile fun run.  It seems that the winner ran 1 mile in an Olympic time (4:09).

The 5k results are more reliable and the winners are listed on the results page.

Have a great Turkey Day and we hope to see you next year.

P.S. We're always trying to make the event bigger and better so let us know what you thought of this event.

Helpful Instruction

Don't Forget:
- Tell your friends and family to come.
- It may be chili on Thanksgiving morning.  Wear layers.
- Bring one or more non-perishable food items to donate to F.O.R., Maricopa's food bank.
- Check out your race route in advance (Race Route Tab above).  The course will be marked with chalk.

Parking:
Parking toward the south end of the park will put you closer to the start and finish points of the race.  You should be able to find parking at the elementary school on the south side of Adams if the parking area by the church fills up.

Registration:
If you have preregistered, you can come at 7:30 AM to check-in and get your number.  If you don't want to preregister, please come at 7:00 AM so we can get you registered.  We'll have it all set for you to register there at the park.

Race Times:
The 5k runners will start at 8:00 AM.
The 1 Mile fun run will start at 8:30 AM.

Post Race Ceremony:
Because the course layout goes through the Pacana Park south parking lot, please wait until all runners have finished the course before leaving the park.  Besides, we'll have a simple ceremony to congratulate the winners of each race.

Check Your Results:
We hope to have results posted on this website for all runners by Thanksgiving evening.  Please check the results tab to see your results.  We'll also send out an e-mail once they are posted.

Happy Turkey Day!

Only the best for 2010

My engineering buddy, Dan Laks and I stayed up to the wee hours of the morning working on version 2.0 of the race clock that made its debut last year. This year, the clock got a serious upgrade using a PIC to drive each segment of the 7-segment LEDs. Check out the picture and video below. For the purpose of testing, the pic was programmed to run at 32 times as fast as real time. It won't be going that fast on the day of the race.

We're so excited!

We are so excited for the big event. It is only 1 week away and we hope to see lots of turkeys ... I mean people there.

Unfortunately, the majority of pre-registration responses show that participants are not interested in event T-Shirts. So I've disabled the T-Shirt option. Not to worry, if you've already paid for it via pay-pal, you will be refunded.

Come to this fun FREE event, bring a can of food for F.O.R. and run your gibblets off.
