2012 Results are in ...

I've completed processing the results and they are posted below. Disclaimer: These are not highly accurate timing results.

2012 Winners

The winners of the 2012 Maricopa Turkey Trot are:
#1 F.O.R. Maricopa Food Bank (with a total of 526 lbs of donated goods). Way to go Maricopa!

1 Mile Fun-Run:
1st & 2nd Place (Tie): Tom Patch & Joseph Bailin
3rd Place: Katie Tenney

5K Turkey Trot:
1st Place: Rob Byers
2nd Place: Josh Hoeh
3rd Place: Eric Wood

But wheres the rest of the race info and times? ... Due to some technical difficulties, along with some other family scheduling conflicts, I won't be able to process and post the run times until tomorrow morning. I apologize for the delay. But will have these posted soon. I'll also send out an e-mail to let you know they have been posted.

Ready to Trot in 2012?

YEAH! We've received over 150 pre-registration entries for this years race. It' not too late to pre-register. You can come early (Between 7 and 7:45 to pre-register for your race). Don't forget to bring at least 1 non-perishable food item as your entrance fee. See you tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Trotting! :-)

Fly Over the New Race Routes for 2012

Due to the over-seeding of the soccer fields at Pacana Park, I've made some changes to the race routes for 2012.  In addition, I've made the new race routes using Google Earth.  Links are below to see the new routes or to download the Google Earth file and do a route fly-over.

To do the fly-over in Google Earth, you first must have Google Earth installed on your PC/device.

Then click on the link to the Google Earth Route File

When it opens in Google Earth, double-click on the "2012 Maricopa Turkey Trot" Globe on the left side of the screen and select your route (1-Mile/5K).  You can then do fly-overs by selecting the path object in the respective 1-Mile or 5K folder and then click on the "Play Tour" button at the bottom of the "Places" area. Below is a screen shot to help you better understand these instructions.

5th Annual Maricopa Turkey Trot ... Are you ready?

The time has come to prepare yourselves for the 5th annual Maricopa Turkey Trot!

We're hoping to break the Maricopa Turkey Trot record in both attendance and food donations to FOR, Maricopa's local food bank.
